BINUS English Club has been established since 1992 and it is the only English-based Student Activity Unit (UKM) in BINUS University BINUS English Club itself has been awarded for the title The Best Student Organization by BINUS University for 6 times (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016). At 2010, BNEC has succeded in breaking a record in The Guiness World Record by breaking the record for the most people doing crosswords simultaneously. This year, BNEC has succeded in conducting The 2018 Asian English Olympics which is the 14th BNEC’s yearly olympic which has more than 600 participants who comes from more than 10 countries in Asia.
The BNEC Social Event's mission is to support people in needs. This year's theme, "Shaping Our Diamond" comes with a meaning of making parents to see their child as a diamond. Down syndrome occurs when an individual has a full or partial extra copy of chromosome 21. This additional genetic material alters the course of development and causes the characteristics associated with Down syndrome. A few common physical traits of Down syndrome are low muscle tone, small stature, an upward slant to the eyes, and a single deep crease across the center of the palm – although each person with Down syndrome is unique and may possess these characteristics to different degrees, or not at all. The 2018 BNEC Social Event will allow Down syndrome sufferer to improve their knowledge and creativity, while also build their confident with give their ABA therapy from YCHI. There will be various activities to shape themselves, from having fun, until a show in a venue for the final day.
